The Suit and The Suit

'The suit and the suit are not the future manager'

"Beauty is a better recommendation than any letter," said Aristotle. And the Middle Ages has left us the saying “Clothes do not make the man, but it allows to enter the convent". More recently, Johnny Halliday sang" my mouth, what she has my mouth?" The issue is most appearances, is everywhere, and we continue where that one is and whatever we do.

When looming interviews for competitions or training inputs about a small step seems interesting. Especially the issue knows a new face taking into account, the rise of the presence of the image with the Internet and social networks. In 2014 the picture circulates everywhere and with increasing acceleration, as evidenced by the development of Instagram or Snapshot.

The claim for recognition. This is the famous celebrity fifteen minutes promised by Andy Warhol brings to the stage of his innermost self. It was then a game of comparisons and performance that installs. Lady Gaga, Rihanna are icons of this game appearances.

Ironically, the issue of physical appearance is not dealt with in the world of work. It appears alongside 19 other discrimination criteria. But if many research works, lawsuits, legal and regulatory systems have become interested in the origin, disability, gender ... little direct concern physical appearance, which is often treated according to another angle. The earring for a man becomes a problem of homophobia, tattoos or dreadlocks fall of religious...

Types of Personality

Types of Personality

Believed that we all use these four (4) functions in our lives, but that each individual uses the different functions with a varying amount of success and frequency. We could identify an order of preference for these functions within individuals. The function which someone uses most frequently is their "dominant function”.

The dominant function is supported by an “auxiliary function”, “tertiary function” and “inferior function”. Asserted that individuals either "extraverted" or "introverted" their dominant function. He felt that the dominant function was so important, that it overshadowed all of the other functions in terms of defining personality type. Therefore, can be defined eight personality types ‘Extraverted Sensing’, ‘Introverted Sensing’, ‘Extraverted Intuition’, ‘Introverted Intuition’, ‘Extraverted Thinking’, ‘Introverted Thinking’, ‘Extraverted Feeling’ and ‘Introverted Feeling’.

Personality typing is a tool with many uses. It's especially notable for its helpfulness in the areas of growth and self-development. Learning and applying the theories of personality type can be a powerful and rewarding experience, if it is used as a tool for discovery, rather than as a method for putting people into boxes, or as an excuse for behaviour.

The sixteen personality types which we use in our assessment are based on the well-known. The theory that individuals each had a psychological type. There were two basic kinds of "functions" which humans used in their lives: 1. how we take in information (how we "perceive" things), and 2. how we make decisions. Within these two categories, there were two opposite ways of functioning. We can perceive information via 1) our senses, or 2) our intuition. We can make decisions based on 1) objective logic, or 2) subjective feelings.

Expounded upon quietly working in silence and developing theories further for making the work on Personality Types visible. Asserted the importance of the auxiliary function working with the dominant function in defining Personality Type. While incorporating the auxiliary function into the picture, it became apparent that there was another distinctive preference which hadn't been defined, ‘Judging and Perceiving’.

The developed theory today is that every individual has a primary mode of operation within four categories, flow of energy, respond to the information, decision making and basic day to day lifestyle. Our Flow of Energy defines how we receive the essential part of our stimulation. Do we receive it from within ourselves (Introverted) or from external sources (Extraverted)? Is our dominant function focused externally or internally?

The combination of our four "preferences" defines our personality type. Although everybody functions across the entire spectrum of the preferences, each individual has a natural preference which leans in one direction or the other within the four categories. The categories, we "prefer" to be either ‘Extraverted or Introverted’, ‘Sensing or in Tuite’, ‘Thinking or Feeling’ and ‘Judging or Perceiving’. We all naturally use one mode of operation within each category more easily and more frequently than we use the other mode of operation. So, we are said to "prefer" one function over the other.

The topic of how we take information deals with our preferred method of taking in and absorbing information. Do we trust our five senses (sensing) to take in information, or do we rely on our instincts (intuitive)? The third type of preference, how we prefer to ‘Make Decisions’, refers to whether we are prone to decide things based on logic and objective consideration (thinking), or based on our personal, subjective value systems (feeling).

Conclusion

Are we organized and purposeful, and more comfortable with scheduled, structured environments (Judging), or are we flexible and diverse, and more comfortable with open, casual environments (Perceiving)? From a theoretical perspective, we know that if our highest ‘Extraverted’ function is a Decision Making function, we prefer ‘Judging’. If our highest ‘Extraverted’ function is an Information Gathering function, we prefer ‘Perceiving’. From the first paragraph that have been mention, the first three preferences were the basis of Personality Types. The theory of the fourth preference, which is concerned with how we deal with the external world on a Day-to-day Basis.

Need in Business

Need in Business

The objective is to get as much interview training as possible, and learn more about those little tricks on what to do and not to do. Prepare yourself really well and memorize everything about the job and the company's webpage so you can ask interesting questions that shows that you want the job. For the women its a problem that there is always a risk that they can get  labelled either way depending on who is doing the hiring. Also, women have the possibility to hide extra weight well depending on how they carry themselves, as well as you can use clothing that hide excess weight quite well.

I know a lot of people my age are struggling with this at the moment, but I am puzzled by my situation because, for someone my age, I have a lot of work experience. These were not fast food jobs, but entry level positions with respectable companies where I enjoyed good relationships (all are willing to vouch for me). Quite a bit has happened since then (my father died, for starters), but I have been consistently looking for work, and haven't found anything yet.

One tip is that you go to every interview you are offered, even those jobs that you don't like to see if you get an offer. I don't know what's going on, and I've begun to wonder if aesthetics are the problem. Aesthetics are not the main problem. Don't think that for a minute. We still live in a recessive economy. I believe the line where it indeed can have some impact is when you start getting quite obese (but don't have a medical condition for it). It's a signal that if you don't take care of yourself and love yourself, how will it work in the workplace?

Obese people have it tougher. It depends who is sitting in front of you and what kind of jobs you are applying for. A tip is that if you do start running and go to the gym 1-2 times a week, the extra energy boost you get from being in better shape will add in favour for you. None of the companies expects to fill their positions with a bunch of Miss Worlds or Mr. Worlds, unless you are looking for a job in the fashion, modelling or film industry.  Also some companies might look for this in the front office jobs. Not all of them.

Pray
If you believe in God, Pray.

Neat and presentable
Not every job seeker can look like Tom Cruise or Angelina Jolie. But all of them can look neat and presentable. I think we should be neat and presentable always. Not only when we look for a job. What you got to do and I have done it before is :

A little introverted
Be interested in people. Maintain a healthy relation and also keep the limits.  Do not be over concerned or under concerned. Not everyone can be extroverts. And you mentioned that you had good and healthy relations in your previous work places. This means you have the skill of dealing with people in a good way.

Keep studying
If you are not in a position to attend a regular college, get an M.A via distance education. After that you can also go for B.Ed., M.Ed. etc. if you wish.

Upgrade your skills
Employers are looking for skills and knowledge required to get their work done in a perfect way. Make sure you possess this. Of course with so much of work experience you already have a lot of it. But be a constant learner.

Marketing
Market your skills and knowledge in a perfect way. Give them the idea that you are ready to learn and always have an open mind towards learning.

Sincerity
Be sincere in your dealings. Try not to overact.

Attitude
Don’t feel depressed. You have a personality and individuality. Never compromise this for anything. The recruiters or the company professionals are just human beings who got a chance to work in a company. Nothing more, nothing less. Do not get tensed or upset. Don’t think the job is the end of the world or the recruiter or the company is your ultimate destination. Don’t give them this idea too. You are an individual and have a purpose in this world. You are valuable. Just because you face some problems in life doesn’t mean that you are inferior to others.

Conclusion

Don’t make way for another depression in future thinking that you wasted lot of time in teenage or youth by just getting tensed and depressed. You will not get this age back. These and a smiling, approachable and friendly attitude will help you. There is a right time for everything. You will get the perfect job at the right time. Wait patiently. Avoid tension and depression as far as possible. There is only one life. There are a lot of things in the world for you to know and explore.

Personal Presentation (Communication)

Communication

Organisations spend a lot of time and money recruiting and training the right kind of people to project the right kind of image. They spend a lot of time and money working on their image, developing their brand and producing as many positive signals as possible. Staff in organisations should know that everything they do is marketing for the organisation, every email they send, every phone call they take, every time they interact with a client or customer.

Your appearance and understanding of personal presentation techniques such as effective speaking and positive body language will enhance your communication skills and raise your confidence. Personal presentation is all about marketing ‘Yourself’, the brand that is you. What others see you do and hear you say will influence their opinion about you, so personal presentation is about painting yourself in as positive a light as possible always.

“People who present themselves as confident will be perceived as such by others”.

This section is about Skills You Need in designed to help you gain more confidence and expertise in presenting yourself positively.  Although personal presentation is key in one-to-one situations such as a conversation, in a group situation such as a meeting, or when giving a presentation such as a talk or speech it is also important in less formal situations, when socialising with friends, for example.  How people perceive you is important to communication and you should always aim to be viewed as positively and confidently as possible.

Effectiveness

Everybody presents themselves differently and most can improve their personal presentation. Personal presentation is about learning about yourself, being inner-directed and accepting of who you are, your positives and your negatives, and being comfortable with yourself. Personal presentation is not about being self-conscious or overly concerned with what others think about you. These concepts are closely related to Personal Empowerment.

Personal presentation is about you and how you present yourself in everyday situations.  However, personal presentation always involves at least two people, the person presenting themselves (you) and the person receiving the presentation. It can therefore be described as an interaction. Personal presentation is concerned with conveying appropriate signals for the situation and for the other individuals involved.  People who lack self-esteem and confidence may fail to convey their message effectively or fully utilise their skills and abilities because of the way they present themselves. By improving your personal presentation you improve your communication skills and reduce barriers to understanding.

Areas of Personal Presentation

Self-Esteem and Confidence

Self-esteem is not a static thing, it varies based on numerous factors, different situations and the presence of different people, personal stress levels and change. Think about how you value yourself and learn to manage the highs and lows of self-esteem, find ways of appearing more confident even when you are not and learn some powerful techniques to boost your self-esteem and learn about your personality. Confidence is a measure of how well we think we may perform certain roles or tasks. Linked to self-esteem, confidence is how we feel about our ability.

Effective Speaking

Learn to communicate more dynamically, fluently and with passion and enthusiasm. Your voice says a lot about you and learning how to use it more effectively has many benefits.  Our Effective Speaking page examines aspects of your voice, accent, tone, pitch, volume and encourages you to learn more about your voice and how you use it to its full potential.

Conclusion

Your personal appearance includes the body language, gestures and other non-verbal messages that you use.  By being aware of positive and negative non-verbal signals you can improve your image and the way people perceive you. It also include the way you dress and take care of your general appearance are important factors in personal presentation.
